LUMS first again

Lancaster University Management School is now ranked first in the UK not only for research excellence (as it has been for more than a decade) but also for student satisfaction, following the UK's first ever official survey of final-year students. As a student at LUMS you know that you'll be taught by some of the world's leading experts, balanced by our famously friendly support from all the staff.

The Lancaster MBA had a third exceptionally successful year, and is now ranked 30th in the world and 2nd in the UK's 1-year MBA programmes by the Financial Times rankings 2006.

New facilities and resources

The student learning and social environment received a major facelift in 2005 with the opening of the £10m Lancaster Leadership Centre in February. Students gained the benefit of three brand-new lecture theatres, one of them also used for flagship speaker events. Just outside the lecture theatres are friendly and flexible informal spaces to mix and work, near the Hub Cafe. The whole area is wireless enabled. The Management School is five minutes relaxed walk from the new student village on the edge of the parkland campus.
